Agnes Kleine

Agnes (Lesewski) Kleine was born on November 24, 1919, in Ivanhoe to Anton and Cecelia Cierpiszeski Lesewski. She grew up on the family farm near Ivanhoe. On September 22, 1948, she was married to Alvin Kleine. The couple farmed near Milroy. After Alvin’s death in 1958, Agnes and her daughter, Shirley, moved to Marshall. Agnes worked at the Dietary Department at Weiner Memorial Hospital for over 20 years until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and bingo. Agnes was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and the Council of Catholic Women. Agnes died on Monday, September 19, 2011, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Kleine, of Florence, KY, sister, Joyce Cromwell, of Seattle, WA, sister-in-law Arlene Lesewski of Marshall, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister and three brothers.
