Alice Opdahl

Alice Angeline (Grengs) Opdahl was born February 18, 1915, in Taunton, to Max and Barbara (Katzenberger) Grengs. Alice attended school in Taunton. In 1937 she was married to Bennie N Opdahl and lived in various rural Taunton farms where Bennie worked. They also lived in California for seven years. Bernie died in 1985. Alice worked for Fairway Foods in Minneota, was active in her church and the ladies guild. She lived in the Minneota Manor for the past seventeen years. Alice Opdahl died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at the Minneota Manor Health Care Center. She is survived by sons: Bennie and Donald “Rudy” of Minneota, granddaughter, Jessica of Rolling Hills, WY and two great granddaughters Faith and Hope, brothers; Bert Grengs of Arizona and Leroy Grengs of St. Paul and sisters: Evon Marquardt of Marshall and Leatrice Eischens of Hastings. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Gordon.
