Alice Verdeck

Alice J. (Knutson) Verdeck was born on September 21, 1917, in Ireton, IA, to Nels and Freda Knutson. On February 24, 1941, she was united in Marriage to Peter Verdeck in Green Valley, MN. Alice was a dedicated nurse at the Marshall Hospital, Nursing Home, and in private care for 30 years. She was a Baptized and Confirmed member of First Lutheran Church in Marshall since 1951. Alice died on Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Home. She is survived by her son Warren (Connie) Verdeck of Cedar Rapids, IA, their seven children and five grandchildren, daughter Carolyn Verdeck of Marshall, and her two children and three grandchildren, daughter Gloria Doom of Westbrook and her three children and four grandchildren, and her brother Harold of Oregon. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters and her beloved husband of 61 years, Peter.
