Annie Emma (Hammerlinck) Bottelberghe was born on December 21, 1930, in Burton Township, Yellow Medicine County, to Albrick and Bertha (Mortier) Hamerlinck. She grew up on a family farm near Minneota. On February 7, 1950, she was united in marriage to Herman Bottelberghe at St. Edward Catholic Church. The couple farmed and raised their family in rural Minneota. They moved to town in 1974. Annie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards, cooking, baking, crafting, sewing, and gardening. She was a lifelong member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
Annie died on Monday, May 5, 2014, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall. She is survived by her sons Roger (and Charlene) of Brookings, Leo (and Deb) of Minneota, Mike (and Deb) of Walnut Grove, daughter-in-law Julie of Minneota; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren (and one on the way); brother Clarence Hamerlinck; nieces; nephews; relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Herman; son Harold; and sister-in-law Clara Hamerlinck.
