Antonette âNettieâ Josephine (Haag) Meulebroeck was born on June 17, 1934, in Hospers, IA, to Sylvester and Mary (Kirsch) Haag. She grew up in Hospers and was married to Raymond Meulebroeck on November 18, 1952. After the marriage, the couple moved to Taunton. Nettie worked at a variety of jobs including Kerr Hatchery and for 30 years as a cook and server at the Corner Café in Taunton. Nettie loved to read and also enjoyed word puzzles and playing solitaire. In January, 2011, she moved to the Minneota Manor. She died on Friday, August 19, 2011, at the Manor which was the birthday of her grandaughter Kim and grandson Eric.
She is survived by her children Kathy (and Tom) Fier of Taunton, Lyle (and Joan) Meulebroeck of Bemidji, grandchildren Kim (and Kim Abraham) Fier, Chris Fier (and special friend Sam Kack), Heather Fier, Eric (and Katie) Meulebroeck, Christie Gross, Sara (and Nate) Moran, great-grandchildren Ava and Payton, siblings Charlie Haag, Dolly (and Cliff) Schlichte, Agnes Pohlen and Liz Foreman (special friend Vern Hoops), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Bernie Haag, Kenny Haag and Paul Haag, sister Rosemary Hoffman and one grandson-in-law, Doug Gross.
