Arline was born April 25, 1919 on a farm near Minneota, MN to Otto and Theoline (Anderson) Kompelien. She was baptized and confirmed in St Lucas Lutheran Church, rural Cottonwood. She attended rural school through 8th grade, and then attended West Central School of Agriculture, what is now the University of Minnesota, Morris, graduating in 1936.
Arline was married to Arvid Miller on Sept 17, 1938 and they farmed for 30 years in Vallers Township, Cottonwood, MN. To this union, 3 children were born: Darline, Lee, and Scott. Arvid passed away March 17, 1968, after which Arline and Scott moved to Cottonwood, where she was employed in Cottonwood Public School for 5 years. Arline was active in St Lucas Lutheran Church, teaching Sunday school and active in Ladies Aid.
On April 15, 1973 she married Arthur Pasche, of Hoffman, MN. They built a home in Hoffman, and Arline worked at Hoffman School. In 1995 they sold their home in Hoffman and moved to Alexandria, MN, spending their winters in Brooksville, FL, where they were members of Christ Lutheran Church. They enjoyed traveling in their camper, going all over the United States and Canada. Square dancing was a hobby for many years, and they attended many square dance conventions. Art, passed away suddenly October 15, 2006 in Brooksville, FL.
Arline was also an accomplished seamstress. Sewing for family and others was a great joy to her.
Arline passed away peacefully, at age 97, at the Minneota Manor on October 22, 2016.
Arline is survived by her 3 children: Darline Molde (Lake Alexander, MN), Lee (Marsha) Miller (Cottonwood, MN), and Scott (Nancy) Miller (Sarasota, FL), her 6 grandchildren, Debbie (Mike) Johnson, Carmen (Dave) Brockman, Chris (Danielle) Miller, Andy (Megan) Miller, Kevin (Natalie) Miller, and Jeffrey Miller, 10 great-grandchildren Ryan, Chad, Jason, Cami, Ella, Jenna, Ethan, Oliver, Teagan and Max, and 3 great-great-grandchildren Sophie, Carol, and William. Arline is also survived by 6 step-children, Arnie, Luella, Dale, Rose, Kay, Joanne, and many step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her son-in-law Don Molde and one grandson Mark Molde.
