Arnold John Hauschild was born on April 19, 1930, at home on the family farm in Lincoln County to John and Amanda (Ehlers) Hauschild. He grew up on the farm and graduated from Ivanhoe High School. Arnold was inducted and served in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge, he attended a year of Vocational Technical Training in Fargo. He returned to his home in Lincoln County and worked as a mechanic for local farmers. He owned and operated âDutchman Repairâ for many years. In 2011, he retired and moved to Marshall. Arnold was very creative and enjoyed inventing wooden and mechanical objects. In his younger years, he enjoyed snowmobiling. He also enjoyed playing cards and listening to old time music.
Arnold died on Wednesday, May 04, 2016, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. He is survived by his sisters, Mildred Josephson of Marshall, Carol Harms of Foley, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Lou Mattson and brothers-in-law Henry, Rozy, Don and James.
