Audrey died at Abbot Northwester Hospital in Minneapolis on Thursday 26, 2008.
Audrey Marie Buller was born on October 13, 1921 to Anton and Rose (Pukrop) Zinda in Ivanhoe, MN. She passed away on June 26th, cradled in the embracing arms of her family. Audrey is survived by her husband Lyle, daughter Carole, sister Joan Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Anton and Rose, and her son, John. Audrey grew up loving paper dolls and coloring. She was the grand-daughter of a carpenter and always cherished every inch of home. Audrey graduated from Ivanhoe High School in 1939 and Nettleton Business College in 1943. She loved participating in high school plays, and was editor of the school newspaper, âThe Eagleâs Eye,â for four years. Audrey caught the eye, and captured the heart, of Lyle Buller on April 1, 1947. Together, they built a joyous home and family, welcoming two dear children into their lives, John and Carole. Audrey ran the household, providing tender care and endless love to her family. She endured the greatest of sorrows at the passing of her son John, at age 9, to leukemia. She is happy to be in heaven with him now. Audrey Found beauty in all of Godsâ blessings â from the colors of the clouds in the passing sun, to the crisp air of a fall day, to the beauty of the maple tree in her backyard. Audrey loved flowers of all kinds, but none more than her orchids. She began each day checking for signs of buds, fussing when they were slow in coming. Audrey also loved to paint pictures â particularly of barns and landscapes. She took great pride in her business career, having worked for the Production Credit AssociaTion and the State of Minnesota. She always had special projects for the money she earned and was proud to have purchased a piano for Carole, wanting music to be as important a part of Caroleâs life as it was of hers. The loss of Audrey in this lifetime is unimaginable to Lyle and Carole. Audrey was a part of Lyleâs life for over 60 years. They shared together the highest of highs, and the lowest of lows. To Carole, Audrey was the most beloved mother and friend. They shared hours of âgirl talkâ which Carole will sorely miss. Lyle and Carole wish to thank dear neighbors, friends and family for their many acts of kindness and compassion during Audreyâs recent illness. They kindly ask for your continued prayers and support at this difficult time. They pray that each of you has shared a love as great as theirs was with Audrey.
