Barbara Jean Stoltzman Gannott was born on September 12, 1939, in Mankato, to Rudolph and Chrystal (Ferguson) Stoltzman. She grew up in Mankato. In 1959, Barbara was united in marriage to Robert Gannott. The couple owned and operated a gas station in Madison Lake, MN, for a few years before moving to Marshall. Barbara was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Faith Family Christian Center. Barbara enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and fishing and hunting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Barbara died on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. Survivors include her children Shirley Ross of Tracy, Jeanne Gannott of Marshall, Christi (and Curtis) Gratz of Minneota, grandchildren Amanda Van Dam of Tracy, Amy Ross (fiancé Chad) of Stewart, Robert Ross of St. Paul, Sara Ross (and Karla Seaberg) of Tracy, Mara Gannott of Pittsboro, NC, Justin Coquyt of Marshall, Michael Gratz of Minneota, Gavin Gratz of Minneota, great-grandchildren Sonja Van Dam and Kylie Van Dam, siblings June (and Jack) Sorrell of Columbus, IN, Sue (and Nick) Rollings of Mesa, AZ, Robert Stoltzman (and Pam Broviak) of North Mankato, Alvin Stoltzman of Mankato, Cheryl (and Todd) Simonson of Caddo, OK, Kirt (and Glenda) Stoltzman of Kingston, OK, Gail (and Tom) Norris of Mankato, Jackie (and David) Fideler of Sioux Falls, SD, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Rudolph and Chrystal Stoltzman, husband Robert Gannott, Christi’s father, Ron Bouressa, siblings Marlene Yowell, Marilyn Mortland, Ann Flatequal, Butch Stoltzman, Cpl George Stoltzman and Dorothy Stoltzman in infancy.
