Beatrice VanNevel

Beatrice (nee Bot) Van Nevel was born on July 28, 1918, in Ghent to Henry and Gertrude (Peters) Bot. She lived in Ghent and later Lynd. On June 23, 1941, she was united in marriage to Edward Van Nevel at St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent. Bea loved to sew, grow flowers, work on crafts and care for her family. She taught catechism to 5th and 6th graders at Lynd School and participated in much volunteer work at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. In 1994, Bea and Ed received their GEDs. Beatrice was received into the hands of her loving Savior on October 10, 2008, in Roseville, MN, where she had been living with her daughter for the previous ten months. She was the loving wife of Ed, loving mother of Lawrence Van Nevel(deceased), Alicia (and Douglas) Nolte of St. Louis, MO, Roger (and Patricia) Van Nevel of Cold Spring, MN, Donald (and Diane) Van Nevel of Apple Valley, Mary (Carroll) Stanton of Lynd, Kevin (and Marlys) Van Nevel of Sauk Rapids, MN, Ellen (and Tim) Bourgeault of Roseville, and Dean ( and Janet) Van Nevel of Roseville, loving grandmother to Erik Nolte, Jesse Van Nevel, Jamie Van Nevel, Suzanne Van Nevel, Michael Van Nevel, Trevor Van Nevel, Tyler Van Nevel, Carrie (Stanton) Johnston, Meghan (Stanton) Debolt, Troy Stanton, Christopher Van Nevel, Stephanie Van Nevel, Allison Britz, Amanda Van Nevel, and Christina Van Nevel, nine great-grandhcildren, also survived by her sister Bernadette (Bot) Louwagie. She was preceded in death by her dear brothers and sisters William Bot, John Bot, Deborah (Bot) Van Uden, Frederick Bot, Theresa (Bot) DeCock, and Helen (Bot) Davis.
