Bennie âBenâ Clarence Moberg, of Marshall, MN passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Tyler Hospice in Tyler, MN. A celebration of life will be announced and held in the spring of 2021.
Ben was born June 18, 1931 in Palisade, MN to Harold and Elna (Jorgensen) Moberg. He attended Tyler High School and graduated in 1950. On September 9, 1951 Ben married Marjorie Jensen at First Lutheran Church in Tyler, MN and they were married for 66 years until Marjorieâs passing in 2017. For a short time, they resided in Tyler and then made their home in Marshall. Ben served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Marshall.
Ben worked for Moberg Oil Company in Marshall and was employed by Schwanâs for many years. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and long walks in Camden State Park, but most of all enjoyed time spent with his family.
Ben is lovingly remembered by his children: Chuck (Bonnie) Moberg, Canby, Jeff (Janine) Moberg, Russell, Kathy (Bob) Truwe, Amiret and Greg (Nancy) Moberg, Slayton. Grandchildren and great grandchildren Becky Truwe (Mike Scholtz), Lisa (Brent) Demuth, Riley, Mason and Caitlyn, Nick and Katie Moberg and Lindsay (Alex) Baartman, Aiden and Baby Boy Baartman, Sister in law Joan Moberg, Tyler and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marjorie and siblings Blanche Anderson & Ray Moberg.
