Bernard was born on March 29, 1920 to W.P. and Katherine (Welsch) Tillemans. He died on October 18, 2007, one month and one day after his beloved wife, Mary.
Bing lived his whole life in Minneota. He served in the army during WW11 and when he returned, he joined his father and brother in the family business Tillemans Stockyards.
Mary and Bing were united in marriage on June 30, 1951, and they had four daughters. Bing was active in the community, serving on the school board for many years and a member of many civic organizations. He was a lifelong member of St. Edwards Catholic Church where he received six of the sacraments and was an altar boy, choir member, Religious Education principal and trustee. Bing was awarded the âMan of the Yearâ award by the Rotary. Always a jokester, Bing was known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed dancing, bridge, reading and fishing. Bing and Mary loved their time at the lake and the winters they spent in Arizona.
Survivors include his children: Mary (Lee)Rock of Woodbury, Kathleen (Terry) Buzzell of Rochester, Margaret (Rod) Dallmann of Charlotte, NC, and Suzanne (Steve)Yamamoto of San Antonio, TX; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Francis (Angela) of Minneapolis and Larry (Josie) of St. Joseph and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
