Berniece Agnes Peppersack was born on October 26, 1923, in Browns Valley, MN, to Joseph and Margaret (Cuff) Lubbers. She attended country school and graduated from Browns Valley High School in 1942. Berniece was united in marriage to Arthur Peppersack in 1946. The couple lived and raised their family in Cottonwood. Berniece worked for Marshall Produce, in the food service department at Southwest Minnesota State University, and finished her career in the linen department at Weiner Memorial Hospital in Marshall. Berniece enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her faith was very important to her and she was an active member of St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Cottonwood. In February, 2009, she moved to the Minneota Manor in Minneota. She died at the Manor on Saturday, August 14, 2010.
Survivors include her husband, Art, of Cottonwood, son Robert (and Vonnie) Peppersack of Minneapolis, grandchildren Michael and Richard, daughter Georgine (and Donald) Melaas of Fergus Falls, grandchildren Jennifer, Neal, Ryan and Matthew, son Michael Peppersack of Cottonwood, grandchildren Michelle, Mathew, Micah and Macon, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Margaret, Jean and Genevieve, and brothers Herman, William, Jerome, Milton and Cliff.
