Blanche Veronica Kovash was born on January 22nd, 1928 in Dickinson, ND. She was the daughter of Anton and Katherine Privratsky. Blanche had 4 sisters and 5 brothers: Emma, Wenzel, Eddie, George, Charlie, (Blanche), Patricia, Margaret, Bob, and Fran.
Blanche married Bruno Kovash on April 9th, 1947 in Dickinson, ND. They moved to Moorhead, MN and had 5 children: Allen, Dennis, Michael, Douglas, and Curt. Four years after Brunoâs death in 1986, Blanche moved to Clarksville, TN where her oldest son Al resides.
Blanche welcomed opportunities to socialize and be active which included dancing, roller-skating, and playing cards. She also embraced time with her family and friends creating great memories. She especially enjoyed attending family reunions known as the Kovash Bash.
During her life, Blanche contributed in many ways including being a successful family engineer, also known as a stay-at-home mom. Through patience and commitment, she raised 5 children who learned from her example: be a hard worker, be fair in judgment, and be loving and compassionate. She also was an outstanding waitress and held many babysitter positions for other families. She thrived at taking care of others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and six siblings. Survivors include her children Al (and Vana) of Clarksville, TN, Dennis (and Lynne) of Moorhead, MN, Mike (and Molly) of Zimmerman, MN, Doug (and Beth) of Gardendale, Alabama, and Curt (and Luci) of Marshall, MN; fourteen grandchildren, Terry, Kevin, Jeremy, Seth, Jenni, Matt, Chris, Willy, Hannah, Jenna, Jordon, Kayla, Adam, and Ella; five great-grandchildren, Jace, Maddux, Evan, Sydnie, and Carl; sisters Fran Schmidt of Dickinson, ND, Pat Anderson of Great Falls, MT, and Margaret Neighbor of Butte, MT
She will be fondly remembered and truly missed. ?
