Blanche Anderson

Blanche Evelyn (Petz) Anderson was born on August 28, 1924, in Clifford Trail, ND, to Otto and Clara (Roebke) Petz. She grew up and attended school in Shell Lake, WI. After her schooling, Blanche moved to Cloquet, MN, where she waited tables and later worked at a paper mill. On June 3, 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert Anderson. The couple lived in several communities including Cloquet, Superior, WI, Green Bay, WI, Saginaw, MI, Rochester and Sioux Falls, SD, before moving to Marshall in 1979. Blanche enjoyed bowling, fishing and playing cribbage. She was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marshall. Blanche died on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. She is survived by her son, Donald (and Delilah) of Sioux Falls, SD, daughters Barbara (and Frank) Dooley of Kansas City, MO, and Linda (and Patrick) Davis of Colorado Springs, CO, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and sisters Dora Schwartz and Berniece Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and two sisters.
