Carl Harold Vind

Carl H. Vind age 35 of Westbrook, MN died Friday, August 21, 2009 at the Windom Area Hospital. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Almlie Funeral Home in Westbrook, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. A private family interment will be held at a later date. The Almlie Funeral Home of Westbrook is handling the arrangements. Carl Harold Vind was born July 1, 1974 to Carl and Rosalee (Lyng) Vind in Windom, MN, Cottonwood County. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and attended Storden-Jeffers Public Schools, graduating from Storden-Jeffers High School in 1993. Carl worked for JBS (formerly Swift’s) in Worthington for many years. On June 18, 2005 Carl married Sherri Schoenenberger at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. They made their home in Westbrook. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jeffers, but attended Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook. In the past, Carl played in a pool league and enjoyed getting together with friends to play pool. He also enjoyed professional wrestling, video games, and spending time with the kids. On Friday, August 21, 2009 Carl died at the Windom Area Hospital at the age of 35. Carl is survived by his wife, Sherri Vind of Westbrook, MN; one son, Christian Vind of Brooklyn Center, MN; Sherri’s children, Tanya, Troy and Brianna Schoenenberger of Westbrook, MN; his mother, Rosalee Vind of Windom, MN; two brothers, Jason Vind of Fairmont, MN and Marcus (Rachel) Vind of Sheldon, WA; two sisters, Danielle Vind of Mankato, MN and Tamryn Vind of Windom, MN; maternal grandmother, Carol Carroll of Neptune Beach, FL; father and mother-in-law, Dale and JoAnn Wehmeyer of Westbrook, MN; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. His father, Carl, paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather preceded him in death.
