Carole Marie (Christopherson) Louwagie was born on December 6, 1927, in Milroy to Robert and Amelia (Lintz) Christopherson. She grew up in Rural Milroy and graduated from Marshall High School in 1945. In 1946, she married Charlie Louwagie in Milroy. The couple farmed and raised their 11 children Northeast of Marshall. Carole was a talented artist. She enjoyed painting, sewing, making dolls, and for many years made all of the baptism gowns for Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. She also enjoyed travelling (especially to see her family,) cooking,baking and playing cards. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, and was past-president of the Ladies’ Guild. She is remembered for her listening capaciy, her positive encouragement, her love, compassion of life and her sense of humor. Carole died on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. She is survived by her children John (and JoAnn) of Sioux Falls, SD, Larry (and Jinny) of Arlington, TX, daughter-in-law Toni of Evergreen, CO, Linda (and James) Brisbane of Scottsdale, AZ, Lois (and Alan) Peterson of Boise, ID, Steven (and Julie) of Willmar, Kevin of Marshall, Elaine of Lake Stevens, WA, Susan Sherman of Eagan, Bernard (and Colleen) of Marshall, Michael (and Cathy) of Marshall, 31 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, brother Ronald (and Sue) Christopherson of Miltona, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charlie, son Leroy, granddaughter Elizabeth and brother Robert.
