Carolyn Janetta Blanton

A graveside service for Carolyn Blanton, 74, of Marshall, formerly of Scottsbluff, NE, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Gillette, WY.

Carolyn Janetta (Yelton) Blanton was born on January 24, 1949, in Shidler, OK, to Charlie and Irene (Berry) Yelton.  She grew up and attended school in Shidler.  Carolyn was united in marriage to Richard David and to this union was born son, John.  The family lived in Riverton, WY.  Later she married Andy Blanton. The couple lived in Gillette, and Casper, WY, and then Scottsbluff, NE.  Carolyn worked as a healthcare aide.  In the fall of 2022, she moved to Marshall, MN, for health reasons.

Carolyn loved doing puzzles and writing cookbooks.  She could be found enjoying a cigarette or pepsi.  She was a very caring person and always put the needs of others above her own.

Carolyn died on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall, MN.  She is survived by her son John David of Williston, ND, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister Merry Marchington of Marshall, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Andy Blanton, brother Dale Yelton and sister Kathy Ash.
