Charles Henry Lutz

Mass of Christian Burial for Charles Lutz, Jr., will take place at 11 am on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Visitation will take place from 10-11am. Interment will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Charles “Chuck” H. Lutz, Jr, age 89, long time resident of Marshall, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2022, in California, with family at his side. He was born February 21, 1933 to Charles Sr. and Eleanor Lutz of Tracy then Marshall. He attended school both in Tracy and Marshall. After high school, Charles attended the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul. Charles married Lonita “Lonnie” Reding on December 27, 1957. They lived in Marshall, where Charles worked with his father at the Lutz Garage/Dodge Dealership, taking over when his father died. He also worked at the Lyon County Co-Op and McLaughlin and Schulz. In 1995, Charles married Lavonne Wyffels Fritz. Charles was very involved with Holy Redeemer Church, as well

as various community and social activities.

Most will remember Charles for his great sense of humor and kind heart.

Charles is preceded in death by the love of his life, wife Lonnie; his daughter Ginny; his sister Rosemary; grandson Andrew Kor and his second wife Lavonne Wyffels Fritz Lutz.

He is survived by daughters Maria (Mike) Yablonka and Peggy (Chris) Granger; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
