Charles Franklin Muller was born on November 15, 1931, in Canby, MN, to Emil and Helen (Tesch) Muller. He grew up on a farm near Gary, SD, and attended country school. On April 18, 1959, he was united in marriage to Mildred âTweetâ Rohrs in Canby. The couple made their home in Marshall. Charlie worked at a few jobs including driving cattle to South St. Paul, driving a milk truck for Marshall Produce, and driving cement truck for Deutz and Crow, before taking a job with the street department for the city of Marshall. Charlie worked for the city until his retirement on January 28, 1994. He was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church of Marshall. Charlie enjoyed playing cards, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed playing bingo (although he usually threatened to quit because he never won..) After his wifeâs death, he made a daily trip to Hardees for a Monster Biscuit. Time with his family was most important to Charlie. He enjoyed razzing his kids and grandkids, usually with a smirk that was quite memorable.
Charles died on Wednesday, February 03, 2016, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. He is survived by his children Jackie (and Ed) Bauman of Russell, Jo (and Joe) Peltier of Claire City, SD, Debbie (and Ron) Warnke of Marshall, Donna (and Dick) Boerboom of St. Petersburg, FL, Chuck (and Rolly) Muller of Marshall, 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
