Clifford Paul Esping was born on June 1, 1959, in Clarkfield, MN, to Donald and Bonnie (Gramley) Esping. He grew up and attended school in Ghent. Cliff worked for many years for Able Roofing. He worked for other roofing companies as well and later worked as a tuck pointer until a work injury ended his career. Cliff enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Minnesota Twins and football. He was very talented and greatly enjoyed carpentry work.
Cliff died on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at his residence in Ghent after a long illness with emphysema. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, of Ghent; sons, Adam Rogge of Sioux Falls, Cody Esping (and fiancé Becky Grengs) of Minneota, Nick Esping of Ghent; daughter, Haley Esping of Ghent; granddaughter, December Rogge of Sioux Falls; his mother, Bonnie (Avit) Schmidt of Pierz; siblings, Kaye (and Andrew) Breen of St. Cloud, Kevin Esping of Jordan; step mother, Velma Esping of Safford, AZ; step siblings, Kelly (Jeff) Brill, Frank (Terri) Schmidt, Mickey (Steve) Koering, Tony (Jamie) Schmidt, Karen (Butch) Larson, Crystal Kralewski, Allen Kralewski, Fredric Wise, Orville Kralewski, Mark (Betty) Kralewski , Sara Gohde; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, and his beloved dog, Callie. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; an infant sister; step sister, Lorie Kaneen; and step brother, Cliffton Kralewski.
