Dale E. Templeton age 85 of Tracy, MN died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Sanford-Sioux Valley Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Tracy Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM and continuing one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in the Tracy City Cemetery, with a luncheon served in the church social hall immediately following the burial. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements.
Dale Eugene Templeton was born March 9, 1927 to Charles and Muriel (Johns) Templeton on a farm near Amiret, MN, in Amiret Township. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended country school.
On January 6, 1949 Dale married Doris Flatequal at the Presbyterian Church in Tracy, MN. They made their home on a farm north of Tracy and remained there until his retirement in 1991, when they moved into Tracy. Dale truly loved farming and he also enjoyed Horseshoe League, playing in a card club with his wife, and was an avid Twins and Vikings fan. He was a member of the Tracy Presbyterian Church, Tracy Lions Club and was a member of the Tracy Masonic Lodge #155.
After his wifeâs death in 2010, Dale remained in his home until just recently when he became a patient of Sanford-Sioux Valley Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD, where he died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the age of 85.
Dale is survived by his one daughter, Paula Pahnisch of Janesville, MN; three sons, Donald Templeton of Corcoran, MN, David (Deb) Templeton of Cromwell, MN and Mark (Laurie) Templeton of Tracy, MN; eight grandchildren, Sara Zink, Kiel Templeton, Kristen Drucker, Katie Rasmusson, Aaron Bieringer, and Scott, Rachel and Eric Pahnisch; five Great Grandchildren; one sister, Mary Lou Anderson of Tracy, MN; two brothers-in-law, Jay Christensen of Rochester, MN and Roger Flatequal of Omaha, NE; nieces, nephews and friends.
His wife, Doris, his parents, one infant son, grandson, Adam Bieringer, infant brother, Donald, sister, Donna Christensen and two brothers-in-law, James Manguson and Ivan Anderson, preceded him in death.
