The funeral service for Dallas Bahn, 36, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Marshall, will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. â 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service and Sharing of Memories at 7:00 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. â 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church. Interment with military honors will follow the service at the Marshall Cemetery. Dallas Randal Bahn was born on December 7, 1984, in Marshall, to Randy and Julie (DeSmet) Bahn. He grew up in Marshall and graduated from Marshall High School. Dallas enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during Operation Enduring Freedom. He was a Boatswainâs Mate, Third Class, on the USS Denver, LPD-9. After his honorable discharge, he earned a degree in Exercise Science from Moorhead State. Dallas worked doing construction in Fargo, Denver, and most recently for Sweetman Construction Company in Sioux Falls. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, immersing himself in nature, especially in Denver, CO. He was a very loyal and dedicated friend to many.
Dallas died on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls after a sudden and unexpected medical incident at his residence in Sioux Falls. He is survived by his son, Graysen, mother Julie Bahn of Marshall, sister Alissa (and Andrew) Peterson of Byron, MN, nieces Adelyn (goddaughter) and Annika, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Randy, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
