Daryl Dean Miller was born on March 5, 1936 in Worthington Minnesota. He graduated from Marshall High School. Daryl worked construction all his working years. He started with his dad, Heinie Miller. Then he had his own masonry construction business, Daryl Miller Masonry. On September 2, 1955, Daryl married the love of his life, Veronica Brewers. They have lived a full life together. Daryl built buildings of many kinds all over southwest Minnesota. Including some Marshall landmarks such as Schwanâs, Ramada/Best Western, the hospital, schools and the science building at the college. Miller Masonry business ran for over twenty years. His business slogan was âHave trowel, will Travel.
âDaryl loved archery and hunting, and passed this passion onto his sons. He enjoyed traveling after retirement and spent many winters in Arizona. He also sang and recorded his own CD and enjoyed karaoke with friends. Daryl bought the first snowmobile in 1970 and the family spent many years making memories in the winters riding together. Daryl and Veronica lived for many years at their lake house and this is where fond memories were made with their grandchildren, family and friends.
Daryl went to his eternal home on May, 24, 2019, eighty-three years young. Daryl is survived by his wife, Veronica; children, Marti (Lisa) Miller, Rick (Beth) Miller, Cheryl (Jeff) Stange, Kelly Miller, Todd (Karen) Miller and Murt Miller; grandchildren, Miranda, Sara, Danielle, Dominique, Monica, Ryan, Emily, Michaela, Connor, Cassandra, Carrie, Caitland, Christopher, Brandon, Jared; great-grandchildren, Jaeda, Hadli, Joey, Jaxon, Grey, Jayden and Ryker. He is preceded in death by his parents, Heinie and Vi Miller; son, Kim Miller; Grandson, Nick Miller.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Daryl Dean Miller, 83, of Marshall, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall, MN. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, May 27, 2019 at the Rehkamp-Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall with the Rosary taking place at 4:00 PM and the Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church- Roof Fund.
