Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Deanna Davenport, 43, of Ghent, Friday, June 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Eloi Catholic Church, in Ghent. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at St. Eloi Catholic Church. Interment with will follow the service at St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery.
Deanna Marie (Loftus) Davenport was born on July 19, 1976, in Redwood Falls to Jeffory and Kathy (Benson) Loftus. She attended Minneota Public Schools where she was a graduate of the class of 1994. After high school, she followed her passion and attended Stewarts School of Hair in Sioux Falls, SD, and graduated in 1996. Deanna worked as a cosmetologist until the day she passed away. She started working for different private businesses including Cost Cutters in Marshall and had her own business in Ghent, (Deanna Marieâs.) Deanna loved working in the community. Through this, she made so many close friends who became life-long clients. On February 1, 2003, she married Jeff Davenport of Madison, SD, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. After years of planning and trying for children, Jeff and Deanna attended classes to foster children. Shortly after attending these classes, Deanna found out she was pregnant with their miracle, Kylie Kathryn Davenport, who was born in Marshall, MN. Deanna enjoyed so many things in her life such as planning and hosting fun events, cooking, and hanging with friends and family. Deanna was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Deanna was big into the meaning of family!
Deanna died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, April 3, 2020, at her residence in Ghent. She shared her life with husband, Jeff; their daughter Kylie, mother Kathryn (Benson) Loftus and father Jeff (and Cindy) Loftus; siblings Wendy (and Craig) Metz and Jim (and Angela) Loftus; sisters-in-law Amber Davenport and Abby Davenport; grandmother Elvera Benson; nieces and nephews Tylar Noyes, Jasmine Loftus, Alissyn Metz, Ethan Loftus, Stella Davenport and Sadie Davenport and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Waiting to greet her in heaven are her paternal grandparents, John and Jane Loftus, maternal grandfather Dennis Benson; paternal Uncle Donnie Loftus, and maternal Uncle Stanley Benson.
