Delores Jean (Zgoda) Huber was born on November 14, 1926, on the family farm near Arco, MN to John and Hedwig (Dastych) Zgoda. She grew up and attended school in Lincoln County. In 1948, she was united in marriage to Russell Huber at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe, MN. The couple farmed in various locations in Lincoln County until moving to Marshall in 1969. Delores and Russell worked for the Southwest State University Food Service for many years. She later worked for B & H Electronics, Ehlers in Marshall, the Schwan Food Company and was a Food Demonstrator at Hy-Vee. She enjoyed cooking and baking, traveling to visit relatives and flowers and gardening.
Delores died on Friday, October 13, 2017, at Boulder Creek Memory Care in Marshall, MN. She is survived by her children Richard (and Doris) Huber of Ghent, Jeanne (and Milo) Serreyn of Las Vegas, NV, Randall (and Janis) Huber of Alexandria, daughter-in-law Mary Huber of Mahnomen, grandchildren Kristine Huber-Day, Jim Huber, Kathleen Bezares, Nathan Serreyn, Laura Serreyn, Parker Huber, Jessa Peick, Natasha Huber-Britt, and Nicholas Huber, great-grandchildren Haley, Lilly, Schailynne, Aighdanlee, Chyanne, Henry and James, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell son Roger, sisters Doris Schreurs, Lucy Fligge, Rose Frank and brothers Basil, Lawrence and Joseph Zgoda.
