Dennis Nicholas Lozinski was born on August 12, 1945 to Louis and Cecelia (Homan) Lozinski in Marshall, MN. He was raised on a farm between St. Leo and Taunton. He attended St. Leo Catholic School and then graduated from Canby High School in the spring of 1963. Dennis wrestled for the Canby Lancers while attending high school there. In 1965 he was drafted into the United States Army and served his country in Germany during the Vietnam War.
On September 11, 1965, Dennis married his high school sweetheart Mary Full at St. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Taunton, MN. Once he returned from Germany, Dennis and Mary moved to St. Peter, MN. During this time he began working at Lamperts Lumber Yard. The couple stayed in St. Peter until 1972 when Dennis was transferred to the Marshall division of Lamperts. He worked there until the early 80’s when Lamperts closed. At this time Dennis started Lozinski Construction, which he ran with his sons for many decades.
Dennis had many hobbies throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed woodworking and had a deep love for animals. He traveled extensively taking many camping trips with his family as well as trips to Breezy Point for over 30 years. Highlights of his travels include trips to Hawaii and Europe. Dennis was an outdoorsman and could often be found hunting during the fall. He enjoyed playing cards and making casino trips to play the slots.
In June of 2021, Dennis began a hard-fought battle with cancer which he beat. Unfortunately, the treatment took a toll on his body, which he never fully recovered from.
