Dennis Spencer

Dennis Lee Spencer was born in Hendricks, MN to Clifford and Geraldine (Nelson) Spencer on November 14, 1944. Dennis had a big heart and was able to share his love with those around him at the HSI house. He enjoyed making crafts, woodworking and solving word search puzzle books. He spent many hours outside, fishing, horseback riding and camping. No challenge was ever too big for Denny. He always put others before himself, visiting one on one, celebrating birthdays with his brother, and helping others whenever he could. He served as historian for People First. Dennis died on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his residence in Marshall after a brave battle with cancer. Dennis will be greatly missed by those that cared for him; his brother, Bob (Rhonda) Spencer of Lake Benton; sister, Loralee Spencer of Marshall; nieces, Lisa Spencer and Belinda Spencer; nephew, Jason Heinrich; and great nephew, Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents.
