Diane Moore

d. June 12, 2013

Diane Marcene Moore was born February 19, 1952 to Harold and Leona (Rode) Peterson in Marshall. She grew up on a farm south of Balaton and graduated from Balaton High School in 1970. She attended Pipestone Vocational School for secretarial training. Diane and Martin “Marty” Moore were united in marriage on July 14, 1979, and made their home in Marshall. Diane enjoyed scrapbooking her grandkids pictures, flower gardening, baking, crocheting, planning vacations and whistling to hymns and some of the music from the 50’s. She enjoyed keeping busy and had many other things that she loved to do, especially with her family. Diane became known to many friends and family as “Sister.” She had a love for children and spent a number of years teaching and helping in several areas of church programs. Diane started her working career in 1973 as a bookkeeper at Schwan’s. Having retired 25 years later from Schwan’s, she started working at Ram Tour & Travel setting up motor coach tours for two years. She then went to work for Bruns Chiropractic as office manager. After a courageous battle with cancer, Diane died on Wednesday, June 12, at her residence, with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband Marty, her dad Harold, her sister and best friend Sharon (Peterson) Hulsizer, her brother-in-law Mike Hulsizer, daughter Joyce and grandchildren Mat and Alex. She was preceded in death by her mother Leona Peterson, who had inspired her in so many ways.
