Dolores Reisdorfer

Dolores Augusta was born May 13, 1932 to Frank and Mary Lapic in New Prague, MN. She graduated from Luverne High School in 1950 and was one of their best cheerleaders throughout her life. Dee was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Reisdorfer on June 26, 1951 in Luverne. They were blessed with seven children, which Dee took great pride in raising. She spent countless hours, sitting in bleachers and auditoriums, cheering on her children, and eventually grandchildren, in all of their activities. Her work outside of the home began in 1967 working at United Van Lines and ended at Southwest State University when she retired in 1997. Dee was active in many community organizations including the Jaycees, Women’s Legion Auxiliary, Catholic Daughters, Prairie Home Hospice, and the Hospital Gift Shop. Dee lived her life based on the motto, LOVE, LIVE, and LAUGH. She greatly cherished all of her wonderful friends. Her laughter and smile were infectious. Shopping and bus trips, dance and card clubs, class reunions, and burger night were some of the activities that kept her close to the people she loved. Dee loved to tend to her garden, sing fun songs, and celebrate birthdays and holidays. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she was probably the last 77 year old who still believed in Santa. She was a very caring person, bringing great comfort to her children, family, and friends during their most difficult times in life. A loving wife, devoted daughter, caring sister, wonderful mom, fun grandma, and best friend, Dee leaves behind a legacy that will proudly be carried on by her children Nancy of Minneota, Neil ( Linda) of Centerville, Vicki (Kevin) Schwartz of Waconia, Sharon (Dave) Soenen of Stillwater, Ryan (Deanna) of North Oaks, Diane (and Tom) Consolino of Flower Mound, TX, and Mary Sue (Dave) Aasheim of Scottsdale, AZ, 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is also survived by 1 sister, Irene (Leonard) Hansen and many other family and friends. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Bob of 50 years, her parents, and sister Grace.
