Donald Elroy Kompelien

Donald Elroy Kompelien was born November 24, 1928 to John and Esther (Larson) Kompelien on the farm north of Minneota. He graduated from the Minneota High School in 1946. He farmed with his Dad until he was drafted into the army during the Korean War. He served in Berlin, Germany as a Military Policeman where he met his future wife, Hildegard Schicka. On October 24, 1953 Donald and Hildegard were united in marriage. Donald farmed all his life until he retired. Donald died on Wednesday, September 23 at his residence in Minneota. His first Love was Jesus! Survivors include his wife of 56 years; his son, Dr Wayne Kompelien (and Rhonda) of Virginia; two grandsons, Craig (and Jessica) and Daniel of Virginia. He is also survived by one brother Arlon (and Lois) of Minneapolis; three nephews Greg, Dale and Ronald, one niece Judy, many cousins , other relatives and a multitude of friends.
