Donald Tomasek

d. December 3, 2012

Don Tomasek was born on July 17, 1929 in Marshall to John Sr. and Pauline (Andrzejewski) Tomasek. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in Marshall, and later served in the U.S. Army. He married Loris Buffington on Sept. 26, 1962. They had two children, Greg and Mark. Don worked as an accountant for several area businesses before beginning a 29-year accounting career with McLaughlin and Schulz in 1966. He retired in 1995. Don was a lifelong member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and was a member of the Marshall American Legion. He enjoyed golfing and barbecue on the back patio with friends and family. He was a real ‘character’ and his sense of humor was appreciated by his many friends. Don died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. He is survived by his sons, Greg of Burnsville and Mark of Marshall; and brother, John (Pat) of Melrose. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dennis; and sisters, Adeline and Betty.
