Duayne Lawrence Kaas

Duayne Lawrence Kaas was born on June 6, 1925, in Limestone Township, Lincoln County, to Andrew and Caroline (Peterson) Kaas. He grew up on the family farm near Ivanhoe. Duayne served in the U.S. Army from 1955 – 1958. After his discharge, he helped family members on various farms in Lincoln County. Eventually Duayne moved in with family in the Twin Cities area. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed following the Twins and Vikings. He was also a fan of country-western music and most recently was fond of driving his electric mobile around. Duayne died on Thursday, November 11, 2010, after a lengthy illness, at his residence in St. Paul. He is survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Edna, Hank, Alice, Bernice, William Clifford and Vivian.
