Dulis Marcotte

d. June 28, 2014

Dulis Elizabeth Marcotte (Maus) was born on March 9, 1921, to Joan and Alma Maus in Vesta, Mn. She taught country school for 2 years, teaching all 8 grades. She worked for the Soo Line Railroad in the ship’s service office in Olatha, Kansas for 2 years. After marrying Ed Marcotte on November 25th, 1944 in Kansas City, Kansas, she and Ed moved to Marshall, Minnesota. She and Ed raised two daughters, Mary (Evermann) and Jane (Glover). She loved to garden, play golf, play Bridge, go to the casino, clean, and she loved music. Dulis and Ed loved to travel to Florida and stay for a couple of months to visit their friends from Marshall, get away from the cold weather, and golf. She watched her beloved “Angel” Ed battle cancer two times – the final time taking his life in 2003. Living alone these past several years were very hard for her. She did manage to do things that she never thought she could do, which was fly to Michigan several times to see her daughter Jane and her family. So this day brings true freedom as she is able to fly away and be with her “Angel” Ed. She is preceded in death by her husband Ed Marcotte, her parents, John and Alma Maus, brother Kenneth, sisters Inez Rasmussen, Marilyn Blegen, and Gwendolyn Maus. She is survived by daughters Mary (Evermann) and Jane (Glover), grandchildren: Jennifer Glines, Andrew (Abby) Glover, Danny (Lauren) Glover, Jay Glover, Stephen Glover, sister Constance Dufour, brother Duwayne (Lorraine) Maus, sister-in-law Ruth Maus, two great grandchildren, Olivia and Paige, several nieces and nephews, and her dearest friends/neighbors, Joe and Millie Noyes.
