Edna Ericksen

Edna Esther (Kastner) Ericksen was born February 3, 1920, in Lamberton Township, to George and Martha (Retzlaff) Kastner. She grew up in Lamberton and graduated from Lamberton High School in 1938. Edna then attended Augsburg where she received her degree in education. On October 25, 1943, she was united in marriage to Loren Ericksen. Edna taught English and Latin at Cottonwood High School for over 30 years. She and Loren enjoyed travelling and took numerous trips to Europe. Edna had a passion for history and was an excellent cook. After retirement, she spent much of her time at her residence in Pharr, TX. Edna died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident. She is survived by Kent (Jackie) Lokkesmoe of Edina, brother Armin Kastner of Lamberton, nephews Allan Kastner, John (Fonda) Krobel and Eric Krobel and niece BJ Krobel. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Loren and brother Elmer.
