Eduardo Mota Alicano age 40 of Tracy, MN died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at his home in Tracy, MN. Services will be 10:30 AM Friday, November 18, 2011 at St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Tracy. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, November 17, 2011 at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy, with a rosary at 4:00 PM and a prayer service at 7:00 PM. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral Home on Friday. A luncheon will be served in the church social hall immediately following the service. Interment will be Chihuahua, Mexico at a later date.

Eduardo Mota Alicano was born January 11, 1971 to Anastasio Mota Nunez and Josefina Alicano Moreno in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended school, graduating from high school in Chihuahua, Mexico.
He then immigrated to the United States in 1992. He made his home in Tracy, MN and began working for DM&E Railroad in 1995.
On August 21, 1998 Eduardo married Theresa Holt Mota in New Ulm, MN. They made their home in Tracy, where he continued working with DM&E Railroad as a Machine Operator and Maintenace Worker for the past sixteen years.
He was a member of St. Maryâs Catholic Church in Tracy and enjoyed working on cars and trucks. He loved to take his family on vacations to Mexico, California, Disneyland, and camping up in northern Minnesota. He loved his children very much, and especially liked playing and watching sports with them, taking them to movies, and rides in his pickup truck to get pizza. He was also a big Twins and Vikings fan and loved taking his boys to the games. He will always be lovingly remembered as a wonderful husband, father and son.
On Sunday, November 13, 2011 Eduardo died at his home in Tracy at the age of 40.
Eduardo is survived by his wife, Theresa A. Holt Mota of Tracy, MN; step-daughter, Jacquelyn (Ka Yeng) Vue of Ghent, MN; two sons, Sean and Joe Mota of Tracy, MN; four grandchildren, Mina, Eason, Kelan and Jocelyn Vue all of Ghent, MN; his parents, Anastasio and Josefina of Chuhuahua, Mexico; three sisters, Betty (Alonzo) Mota de Amparan, Gabriella Mota and Socorro Mota all of Chihuahua, Mexico; nieces, nephews and many friends.
His grandparents and several uncles and cousins preceded him in death.
