Funeral services for Edwin H. Steuck, 89, of Ivanhoe, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Rehkamp Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will be Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. â7:00 p.m. with a CCW Rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Rehkamp Horvath Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. â 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall.
Edwin Herman Steuck was born on January 11, 1930, in Burchard, MN, to Herman and Gertrude (Habben) Steuck. He served in the US Navy as a Navy Electrician until his honorable discharge. Edwin was united in marriage to Agnes Verschelde on February 8, 1954, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. Edwin worked for a time at the Lyon County Co-op. He was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service in Marshall for over 25 years. Edwin enjoyed playing bingo and tinkering with electronics. In his spare time, he could be found tending his lawn and garden. Edwin especially enjoyed time spent with his sister, Leona, and relatives and friends. Edwin lived in Marshall for most of his adult life, before moving to Divine Providence Health Center in Ivanhoe in 2012.
Edwin died on Friday, August 16, 2019, at Divine Providence Nursing Home in Ivanhoe, where he had been a resident since 2016. He is survived by his daughter Monica (Paul) Cramer of Fairfax, VA; grandchildren Jessica (Rick) Jordahl of Ivanhoe, Corey (Joanna) Jerzak of Marshall, Curt Jerzak of Lino Lakes, Doug Jerzak of Ivanhoe, Jennifer Cramer of Fairfax, VA, and Laura Cramer of Boston, MA; great-grandchildren Caden Jordahl, Cason Jordahl, Rylee Nelson, Destin Jerzak, and Aaliyah Cramer; nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Gertrude, wife Agnes, daughter and son-in-law LuAnn and Dan Jerzak, and sisters Marie Carlson, Emma Oberg, Elsie Garton, Helen Johnson, and Leona Locy.
