Elaine Pearl Sigurdson Zacrep

Funeral service for Elaine Pearl Zacrep, 75, of Blaine, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Balaton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will follow the service at Lakeside Cemetery in Balaton. Elaine was born on November 10, 1938, in Balaton, to Otto and Anne (Thomsen) Sigurdson. She grew up and graduated from Balaton High School. After graduation, she moved to the twin cities where she spent her career working in the banking industry. On March 17, 1962, she was united in marriage to John Zacrep. To this union were born three children: Hiedi, John Jr. and William. Elaine enjoyed reading, gardening, crossword puzzles and watching westerns. She was most passionate about spending time with her grandchildren. She died unexpectedly on July 3, 2014, at her residence in Blaine. Survivors include her children Hiedi Zacrep of Rockport, TX, John Jr. (and Lori) Zacrep of South Haven, MN, William Zacrep of Blaine, grandchildren Kelly, Kyle and Kristina, brothers Leonard (and Sylvia) Sigurdson of Colorado and Dennis (and Barb) Sigurdson of Slayton, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
