Evelyn A. Ness - Bauman age 91 of Montevideo, formerly of Walnut Grove passed away on October 29, 2009 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo, MN. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Tracy Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Interment will be at the Tracy City Cemetery. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be placed at www.almliefh.com. Evelyn A. Ness – Bauman was born on September 25, 1918 to Anton and Elise (Haugen) Ness in McClusky, North Dakota, Mercer County. She graduated from Mandan High School in North Dakota and was a member of the Tracy Lutheran Church. Evelyn married Quentin Roberts in Mandan North Dakota. On September 12, 1959 she married John Bauman in Walnut Grove, MN. Over the years, she lived in California, Mandan, North Dakota, spent a number of years on a farm near Clarkfield, MN, moved to Tracy and Walnut Grove before spending the last twenty years in Montevideo, MN. In the past, Evelyn was a homemaker and also worked for a number of years as bookkeeper for the Tri County Coop in Tracy. She enjoyed reading, night fishing on lake Minnewaska, scrapbooking, hand crafts and playing cards. On Thursday, October 29, 2009 Evelyn passed away at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo surrounded by her loving family at the age of 91. Evelyn is survived by her one daughter, Winnifred (Curtis) Severson of Clarkfield, MN; one brother, Paul Ness of Dillsburg, PA; one sister, June (Spencer) Kvam of Montevideo, MN; three grandchildren, Natalie (Paul) Lynner of Clarkfield, MN, Connie (Tim) Velde of Granite Falls, MN, and Brent (Denise) Severson of Niceville, FL; eight great-grandchildren; twelve great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Her parents, two husbands, Quentin and John, two brothers, Merle and Carroll, and three infant siblings preceded her in death. Blessed be her memory.
