Evelyn (Faramia) Knoben was born on January 25, 1924, in Albany, CA, to John and Mary (Marino) Faramia. She grew up and graduated from high school in California. On September 15, 1946, she was united in marriage to Donald Knoben. The couple lived in California for ten years before moving to Marshall. Evelyn worked for the Social Security Administration in California and in Marshall. Evelyn was very proud of her Italian heritage. She dressed exquisitely. She was a longtime member of TOPS (and later KOPS.) She also enjoyed her daily trips to Mikeâs Café, doing crossword puzzles, shopping, going to movies and listening to music. Evelyn lived at Heritage Point in Marshall for a couple years and since July, 2016, has been living at the Minneota Manor in Minneota.
Evelyn died on Sunday, October 16, 2016, at the Minneota Manor. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Welsand of Bozeman, MT, granddaughter Julie Welsand of Yelm, WA, special niece Patsy Knoben of Marshall, special friend Diane McClain of Lynd, and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, six brothers and two sisters.
