Florence Pemer

Florence was born on April 1, 1910, on the family farm in Lincoln County to Joe and Agnes (Starzyk) Machnikowski. She worked for an ammunition plant in New Brighton during World War II. Flo then worked for Automatic Electric in Mankato until she retired. She married Carl Pemer in 1939 in St. Paul. She enjoyed going shopping and having coffee with her niece and her husband. She also enjoyed traveling including some special trips overseas. She and Carl spent their winters in Arizona. Florence died on Friday, November 28, 2014, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. She is survived by her brother Robert Mack Sr. in Ivanhoe, sisters Romelle Sterzinger of Ivanhoe, Vernice May of Minneapolis, Donna Shaffer of Ohio, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, parents Joe and Agnes, sister Evelyn O’Mara, and brother Vernon.
