Francis Bernard Sussner was born on August 21, 1925, in Wauban, MN, to George and Clara (Schroedl) Sussner. As a child, he moved with his family to a farm near St. Leo where he attended St. Leo Catholic School. On June 14, 1948, he was united in marriage to Dolores Van Dorpe. The couple farmed near Minneota. He and his family moved to Minneota in 1968. Frank worked for Dierickx Electric and Obe Electric. He obtained his Master Electricianâs License and started Frankâs Electric in 1972. He later sold his business to son, Ron, and continued working until his retirement in 2007. Frank was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed target shooting with his â22. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
Frank died on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at the Minneota Manor in Minneota. He is survived by children Ron (and Shirley) Sussner of Ghent, Dan (and Kathy) Sussner of Plymouth, Richard Sussner of Minneota and Diane (and Bob) Andries of Marshall, grandchildren Michelle Sussner of Marshall, Jeff (and Nicole) Sussner of Minneota, Jayme (and Jodi) Sussner of Chaska, Jodi Sussner of Ghent, Steve (and Stacy) Sussner of Ghent, Derek (and Tessa) Sussner of Plymouth, Randy (and Michele) Sussner of Plymouth, Adam (and Kelly) Sussner of Sartell, Reed (and Angie) Andries of Russell, Mike (and Betty) Andries of Marshall, Bethany (and Travis) Jensen of Sioux Falls, SD, and Chad (and Melanie) Andries of Ft. Worth, TX, 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dolores, and all of his siblings.
