George Kenneth Marcotte was born on April 19, 1922, in Marshall to Levi and Sarah (Gaffney) Marcotte. On September 2, 1944, George was untied in marriage to Anne Hofflock. George was a farmer, worked for Pioneer Seed, Olson & Johnson Implement, and Plywood Minnesota. His interests included farming, fixing things, playing cards, bowling, going to dinner with friends and being with family. He served as the chair for the Holy Redeemer Cemetery Board for 18 years and on the Senior Center Board.
George died on Sunday, June 22, 2008, at the Colonial Manor in Balaton.
He is survived by his wife, Anne, of Marshall, daughter Carole (Ed) Charbonneau of Lino Lakes, son Ken (Faye) of Rosemount, daughter Diane Wysoski of Waite Park, son Mike (Jane) of Chardon, OH, daughter Michelle (John) Full of Marshall, son Dean (Brenda) of Kaniyohi, son-in-law Bob Domek of St. Cloud, grandchildren Jeff, Susan, Heather, Gretchen, Nathan, Melissa, Sarah, Joelle, Michael, Alex, Mallory, Sam, Anna, Amy, and Blake, great-grandchildren Braxon, Carter, and siblings Helen Klaith, and Elmer Marcotte. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jane, grandson Levi, siblings Alex, Richard, Lucille Heinis, Vincent, Eleanor Garrow, James, and Leo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Calvary Cemetery Fund.
