Gilbert Winston Lindsay was born on July 14, 1923, to Thomas P. and Bertha (Blank) Lindsay on a farm two miles east of Green Valley. On June 27, 1946, he was married to Rosella Peppersack. Gilbert worked for the Lyon County Highway Department for 23 years. In 1971, he and Rosella built the Lindsay Mobile Court in Cottonwood. They ran this business for 24 years and retired to Marshall in 1995.
Gilbert died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January, 20, 2015, in Marshall. He is survived by his daughter Patricia (and David) Determan of Bloomington, son Kenneth (and Carol) of Albertville, daughter Mary Jean (and Steve) Stensrud of Cottonwood, six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sisters Geraldine Calvin of Marshall and Leatrice Versluys of Brandon, SD, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella, his parents, infant son, Michael, four sisters and three brothers.
