Gladys Isabelle Feldhake was born on May 24, 1922, in Minneota, to John and Emma (Opdahl) Myhre. She was baptized and confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. Gladys attended rural school and graduated from Minneota High School. Upon graduation from Mankato State Teachers College, she taught for ten years. On June 2, 1951, she and Henry Antone Feldhake of Montevideo were married at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. They lived in Corsica, SD, for eleven years before moving to Marshall in 1961. Gladys was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Variety Study Club of Marshall. She enjoyed spending time with her family, embroidering, flower gardening, reading poetry and making scrapbooks. Gladys died on Saturday, December 8, 2007, at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville. She is survived by her son, Alan, and his wife, Michelle, of Burnsville, grandson Brent (and Melanie) of Northfield, their children Nolan and Julia, grandson Brian (fiancé Ashlee) of West Fargo, grandson Mark of Bloomington, granddaughter Michelle of St. Cloud, brother Harvey Myhre of Minneota, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry, son LeRoy, four sisters and four brothers.
