Helen Hall Schulte was born August 12, 1915, in Minneota to Carl and Susan (Hall) Anderson. She graduated from Minneota High School in 1933. Helen received a teaching degree from Mankato State Teacherâs College and taught school in Waseca and Blue Earth. During her summer visits back home, she met the love of her life, the local dentist, Dr. John Schulte. They were married at St. Edward Catholic Church on June 21, 1941. At the conclusion of Dr. Johnâs service in the US Army, they returned to Minneota to establish their lifelong commitment to the community. She was an advocate of the Big Store in Minneota.
Helenâs strong faith in God was the primary motivator of her life. Her family was constantly showered with her love and prayers. She was a volunteer at the Minneota Manor, for many years a CCD teacher at St. Edward Catholic Church, a longtime member of the Schoenstatt Society, the church choir and many other parish events and activities.
Helen loved to take an active part in family events and activities. She would be in the middle of anything the family was doing. Dr. John died in 1998. Helen has been a resident of the Minneota Manor since 2005.
She is survived by seven children: Suzanne (Greg) Cattoor of Marshall, John (Cathy) of St. Louis Park, Robert (Barb) of Minneota, Dick of Rochester, Joe (Deb) of Rochester, Mary Lincoln of Burnsville and Anne (Dennis) Heggeseth of Minneota; twenty one grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Zita Mary Greb of Cameron Park, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and great-grandchild, Logan Heggeseth.
