Ida Rose

Ida Rose age 92 of Tracy, MN died Monday, April 20, 2009 at the Sanford-Tracy Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tracy. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be at the Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hayward, CA. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements. Ida Rose was born February 27, 1917 to Albert and Mary Ferriara in Curmen, CA. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended country school near Curmen. In 1940 Ida married Joe Rose in California, where they made their home. Ida was a housewife and mother to her three children and worked as a daycare provider for some time. She remained living in California until 1989 when she moved to Tracy, MN. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy. Ida was also a member of the Tracy Senior Center and enjoyed spending time there and volunteering to help with many different projects. She enjoyed taking walks and garden flowers through the years. In 2006 Ida moved into the O’Brien Court Apartments in Tracy and remained there until February 2, 2009 when she became a resident of the Prairie View Health Care Center in Tracy. Ida died Monday, April 20, 2009 at the Sanford-Tracy Medical Center at the age of 92. Ida is survived by her one daughter, Betty (Bud) Payne of Walnut Grove, MN; four grandchildren, Denise Smith of Tiffin, OH, Cindy Crowe of San Francisco, CA, Todd Rose of Pleasaton, CA and Ed Sandau of Walnut Grove, MN; five great grandchildren; one brother, Domingos Ferriara of CA; nieces, nephews and friends. Her parents, husband, Joe, one son, Clarence, one sister, Rosalie, one brother, Albert Ferriara and one sister, Mary Ferriara preceded her in death.
