Irene Ruth Retzloff

Funeral service for Irene Retzloff, 92, of Tracy, will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Tracy Lutheran Church in Tracy, MN. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Almlie-Horvath Funeral Home in Tracy. Visitation will continue from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will follow the service at the Tracy Cemetery. Irene Ruth (Selck) Retzloff was born on September 5, 1923, in Tracy, to Frank and Marie (Bachmann) Selck. She grew up in Tracy and graduated from Tracy High School. Irene then worked for the Tracy Bottling Company for a time. She met Harry Retzloff at a dance in Walnut Grove. On March 20, 1948, the couple was married in San Antonio, TX. They made their home in California for a time before returning to Tracy in 1951. They farmed north of town until Harry retired in 1980. In 1989, they moved to town. The couple enjoyed fishing and camping. For the last few years, Irene has lived in the Prairie View Healthcare Center. Irene died on Sunday, June 12, 2016, at the Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy. She is survived by her sister, Frances Gregoire, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Harry.
