Iris Rose (Rokeh) Demuth was born on September 26, 1922, in Russell to Theodore and Amelia (Wood) Rokeh. She grew up in the Russell and Florence areas. On June 28, 1941, she was united in marriage to Leo Demuth. The couple spent most of their married life in rural Lynd. In earlier years, Iris worked as a night foreman for Marshall Produce. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, rummage sales and cooking. In 2003, Iris and Leo moved to Marshall. Iris died on Saturday, October 27, 2007, at the Prairie Home Hospice House in Marshall after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Leo Demuth, of Marshall, children Phyllis Skatrud of Laporte, MN, Josie (Mel) Besse of Marshall, Linda (Ron) Wilson of Red Wing, Mark Demuth of Lynd, Rita (Bruce) Buchert of Russell, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, siblings Avis Gravley, Joyce Ohlson, Marilyn Gregg, Betty Crowell, Dennis Rokeh, Verlyn Rokeh, JoAnn Sepanick, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law and siblings Mill, Marjorie, Delbert, Garland, Donald, Doris and Darlene.
