Irving T. Busman, age 53, of Chandler, MN passed away on January 10, 2013 at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center in Worthington, MN. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lake Wilson. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 PM on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Chandler Funeral Home in Chandler with a prayer service at 7:30 PM and visitation continuing one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery. The Chandler Funeral Association is handling the arrangements. Irving T. Busman was born on December 20, 1959 to John and Marie (Joffer) Busman in Pipestone, Minnesota. He grew up on a farm in the Chandler area. He was baptized and confirmed at the Chandler Reformed Church, and attended and graduated from Chandler – Lake Wilson Schools. He then went on to college at SSU in Marshall graduating with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. On July 26, 1986 Irving was united in marriage to Judy Jensen at the Chandler Reformed Church in Chandler. After marriage, they moved to a farm in rural Lismore, MN for one year and then moved to their current residence in rural Chandler. Irving was a farmer his whole life and farmed both crops and livestock. Over the years, Irving was very active in his community as school board chairman for the Chandler – Lake Wilson Schools, Cenex board member, 4H leader and Pork Producers board. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Lake Wilson where he was active with the church council, Luther League advisor, and as a Sunday school teacher. Irving loved to farm, ride motorcycles, snowmobiles, go boating, tinkering with various things on the farm, doing science projects with his children, reading, going on road trips, and cooking pork. On January 10, 2013, Irving passed away surrounded by his family at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Irving is survived by his wife, Judy; three children, Jessamy(special friend, Eric Schaap), Andrew(special friend, Hanna Jacobsen), and Megan all of Chandler; mother-in-law, Ardis Jensen of Albert Lea, MN; three brothers, John (Caryl) Busman of Chandler, Lowell (Carol) Busman of Roseville, and Mark (Gloria) Busman of Pekin, IL; four sisters-in-law, Carol (Gary) Oney of Mankato, MN, Annette Jensen of Faribault, MN, Brenda (Roger) Swanson of Albert Lea, MN, and Mona (Doug) Jacobson of Chanhassen, MN and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His parents, John and Marie Busman, preceded him in death.
